At Salt of the Earth, we’ve been producing fine art giclée prints for photographers for the past 16 years.
Having been awarded ‘The Best Digital Printer’ by the Fine Art Trade Guild, we are also one of the few ArtSure registered printers in the UK.
We offer a fast service - we can normally turnaround orders for prints within 48hours.
We are located at the junction of Wiltshire, Somerset and Dorset, but we supply photographers throughout the UK and Europe.
But our best recommendations will come from our clients…
Why not come and visit us?
Giclée printing has revolutionised the printing of photographs. The quality, scalability and longevity of giclée prints is unsurpassed. And the range of available substrates will meet most requirements ; from conventional lustre and matt finishes, through to fine art papers and canvas.
Photographers confidently send us their images from all over Europe, but you can also securely upload the files to us through this website. You can send us up to 20 files in one upload with a maximum total size of 4Gb. This service is provided for us by MailBigFile, it’s totally secure and we receive instant notification of your upload.
You can also send us digital files on DVD, memory stick or memory card. Always try to save images at the highest resolution possible, not just your screen resolution (72dpi). Remember, the higher the quality of your digital files, the better the prints will look.
If you need to use JPEG, use the highest quality/minimum compression setting. TIFF or PSD files deliver the best results. Size the image to the size you want it printed and save at 300 or 360dpi, preferably with 'Adobe RGB 1998' colour space.
We can also scan and process trannies and negs, plus we can digitally restore faded, damaged or discoloured images.
All prints from Salt of the Earth come with an embossed Certificate of Authenticity.
The price of prints depends on their size and type of paper/canvas. We offer a 10% discount if you order five or more prints from any image.
We can also produce cards, postcards and promotion material from your master file.
